There are dozens of firework displays and events happening across West Sussex, from large to small – we’ve picked a couple of the best family friendly options for 2023.
Worthing Pier Firework Display
When: 5th November 2023
Where: Worthing Pier
This FREE firework event will start from 6pm, with the fireworks being let off at 6:45pm at the end of the Pier. Come along with all the family to enjoy the child-friendly fair, or drop into one of the local restaurants opening for pre- and post-firework meals.
Visit a Christmas Market in Brighton
Shortly after the bonfire events come to an end, we will see the start of the ever-wonderful Christmas Market season. Discover festive goodies and delicious street food at a range of festive events.

One of the longest Christmas Markets in the Sussex area is the Brighton Christmas Market. There are going to be around 50 festive stalls, purpose-built entertainment venues for all the family to enjoy, live music, and, of course, Santa’s workshop! Brighton Christmas Festival is free for all attending, and there’s no need to book a ticket – just come along during the festive period with all your friends and family.
